PROGRAM FEATURES............

Our speaker on October 7, John Dinan, Associate Professor of Political Science, WFU and our speaker on October 14, John Hood, John Locke Foundation, both brought us very interesting and informative talks on the upcoming elections. Each one has his own perspective of the election. John Dinan says this is a very interesting election year. Political Scientists use tools to analyze the election outcome such as historical patterns. They are not preoccupied with polls. They prefer to look at long term factors. John Hood, says he and his partners in the think tank pay attention to the politics of politics so we don't have to. Hood loves public policy and journalism. His predictions and journalism reflect conservative and market-driven ideas. Both speakers talked about demographics and the battleground states and how they will influence the outcome of the elections. Thank you to both speakers for very thought provoking information.
