IT’S ALMOST GRADUATION TIME………We are continuing our Book Bag Program for Kimberly Park Elementary School this year.  Below is a list of school supplies that are needed for each bag.  We will be filling 30 bags this year.  Each bag will have all the supplies listed so we 30 sets.  Please bring as many of these supplies as you can.  The book bags will be presented to the graduating fifth graders who will be moving to middle school.
The items needed are: 1” 3-ring binder, tab dividers (pack of 5), compass, protractor, calculator with fractions, ruler, pack of notebook paper, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks (2 each), pencil pouch with zipper, pack of #2 pencils, 2-pocket folders (4 each), and small packs of Kleenex

PROGRAM FEATURES............
We continue to have great programs.  On April 6 Abby Lipsky brought us a very heartwarming program about the Victory Junction Gang Camp, a camp for physically impaired children started by Kyle Petty and his wife after the death of their son Adam.
On April 20 Dr. Charles Kimball, Chair of Religion Department at WFU talked about Islam and gave us his view on the subject.
On April 27 Myrick Howard, Preservation North Carolina, brought us a slide show on some of the properties that have been refurbished and protected by Preservation NC.  He explained how properties are acquired and what is involved in preserving property.
