PROGRAM FEATURES............

September 20 – Mark Young, Tom James Company, gave us tips on how to dress for success. Men should wear a collar style which counter-balances their most prominent features. In suiting fabrics, each color can communicate a different message. Patterns such as solids, stripes, plaids, windowpanes and checks – are most commonly associated wit business clothing. He showed examples of how to mix and match outfits.

September 27 - District Governor David McCoy visited Stratford Rotary today. He brought his wife Linda with him today. District Governor-Elect Charles Allen and Assistant District Governor Van Sherrill also attended. He told us that the two most influential men in his life had both been Rotarians and had a desire to help others and were heavily involved in their communities. They showed him that Rotary extends the opportunity for ordinary people to do extraordinary things. When he asked himself why he didn’t join Rotary until he was 42 years old, he realized it was because he wasn’t asked. He encouraged everyone to find someone who would be an asset to our club and ask them, welcome them and make them feel wanted and needed and most importantly, get them involved. Being involved is the best way to stay active. He talked about how our contributions to the Rotary Foundation help others. District 7690 has 50 clubs and 43 of them are 100% Paul Harris Clubs. Our District is the #1 District in the world.

District Governor McCoy thanked Stratford Rotary for everything we have done for our community and expressed his excitement for our plans for future involvement with Kimberly Park Elementary School. He told us that we can and do make a difference.
